Jonathan Prince: Torn Steel, his first public installation of large scale sculptures in New York; Torn Steel has been in development for over two years at the artist’s studio in western Massachusetts.

Exploiting the interruption of pure geometric form, Prince introduces new surfaces where he has ruptured the skin of his steel structures, imbuing the works with a dynamic quality in a laborious process of blacksmithing techniques and his own vanguard approach. [ jonathan prince ]

date: 15 september – 18 november
venue: the atrium 590 madison avenue new york city
