Just bought it , used it twice think it,s great, a spare battery would be an asset, want to try the striper roller
is it value for money, yes it is, i bought a cheaper battery mower that soon needed a new battery and to boot did a poor job, full marks to Neuton.
I bought the CE5.2 in the spring of 2008 and it was a bad decision even though I read a lot of lauditory comments.
First issue was the safety key. Its lugs on the circuit board were too flimsy to hold the key, there was overheating and the thing cut out. I had to open up the key with pliers. That was also the recommended fix althought they now have a new board with heavier clips.
The thing will not cut even an inch of wet grass without plugging in either the mulch mode or when bagging.
I had bought an extra battery when I got it which turned out to be a good thing as one died within 4 months.
The adjustment is easy and straight forward.
With the battery it weighs in at 45 lbs 15 of which is battery which unlike some people I find to be good as I have some slopes on my lawn. I am 65 so I don’t know why a 30 yr old would complain. Gas mowers are much heavier.
I am not cutting a large area of lawn and my battery is pretty low by the time I finish. Sometimes I have to change batteries.
The 14″ cut is small but I knew that going in to save weight.
Would I buy this one again? Definitely not. Too many issues with what should be a basic machine and not enough efficiency doing the task it is intended for.
