Fast Company alerts us today that its [ October issue ] will focus on “The United States of Design.”

As before, the annual issue will recognize the [ 2011 Masters of Design ] – (above) – Jeanne Gang; Teddy Cruz; Robert Wong; Aza Raskin; and Jake Barton – in addition to others who are influencing design in America today: Bill Moggridge, Phillip Lim, Mary Barra, and Mauro Porcini.
To further its commitment to design, Fast Company [FC] will host its annual Masters of Design event at Stephan Weiss Studio on 19 October. [FC] is also partnering with Cooper-Hewitt’s National Design Week which takes place in New York City from 15-23 October. In keeping with this issue’s theme, starting today [FC] is launching a free iPad app, which collects [ 76 of the best American-made products ]
