While looking for a motorcycle seat on eBay the “Beezerker” presents itself. After researching the bike I put in on the DesignApplause Pinterest [ Objects as artforms ] [ eBay write up ] Unlike any bike ever created the Beezerker from Speed Shop Design is truly a one of a kind collectors item. Winning numerous awards, including the prestigious AMD World Championship, the Beezerker’s cutting edge yet timeless design and impeccable craftsmanship place it in a league all its own. Designed around a 1965 BSA 650cc unit engine the Beezerker required over 1000 man hours to cut, bend, weld, polish, and paint.

front view

In addition to the fabrication and finishing hours involved to build this work of art, over 200 hours were spent with pencil and paper, as well as computer, to make sure this bike looks and performs as well as it does. Imagined as a salt flat racer and cafe racer from the turn of the century the Beezerker splits the air with it’s blade like profile. In contrast to it’s broad side view the bikes front and rear profiles are slim as can be.

rear view

With incredibly unique features such as it’s fabricated sheet metal girder front suspension, frame routed internal exhaust, and a mechanical rear disc brake it is no wonder this bike has been featured in countless online and print articles. In addition the Beezerker sports 20″ Firestone tires, one-off cast 316 stainless steel BMX grips, twist clutch, fully restored and rebuilt motor, all new electronics and wiring, custom lithium ion battery, electronic ignition, custom halogen headlight, interchangeable headlight lens, oil damped coil over adjustable front shock, 1.25″ SU carburetor, ceramic coated frame made from hand formed oval tubing, oil tank in front down tube, one off stainless steel foot controls, kick arm, handlebars, and headers, hand formed 3003 aluminum tank and tail unit, matching stainless steel headlight grill and exhaust grill, and a tuck and roll hand crafted leather saddle. Street legal and registered in Washington state this motorcycle can be driven anywhere but given it’s stripped down design and high level of finish you may just want to keep it perched atop the supplied museum quality walnut and steel display plinth. starting bid: US $49,750.00 price: US $62,450.00 note: bike built in 2010.
