Faux-suede from recycled bottles. Beyond skin.

Feb 1, 2011

This season Beyond Skin introduces faux-suede footwear derived from recycled plastic bottles. Known as Dinamica, the microfiber feels and looks like the real thing, except it uses no solvents or harsh chemicals, is cruelty-free, and is completely recyclable at the product’s end of life. Because the material is super-durable and water-repellent, the shoes are capable of surviving both adverse weather (rain, snow) and careless drink-spillers. Dinamica is pliable and soft to the touch. And compared with petroleum-based polyester, Dinamica cuts carbon emissions by 60 percent. Beyond Skin is the first footwear label to use this Dinamica.
