the digital cultures conference is the first event in poland to address global digital. the interdisciplinary program covers a broad view of this rapidly developing sector: from computer games and narrative museums to interactive storytelling and topics related to digitization. a new forum with a wide lens, the conference will explore a diverse array of topics including digital re-use, the role of new media in theatre, the opportunities and challenges of interactive journalism, the archival of web content, the applications of artificial intelligence, and a critical discussion on the role of technology in cultural institutions.
museum directors, representatives of key technological institutions, artists and game developers, and festival directors are all featured in the robust roster of more than 60 eminent experts from 15 countries from europe, the united states and asia who have been invited to participate in the conference. the panels will feature: william uricchio – mit, rodrigo de benito sanz – new york times, matthieu bonicel – bibliotheque national de france, paul hanraets – gambitious, ruthie doyle – sundance, and alexander knetig – arte, among others.
