5 renewable energy concept cars.
axa | concept electric solar powered car by marian
Renewable energy is energy which comes from natural resources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, and geothermal heat, which are renewable — naturally replenished. [above] Axa features solar paneled roof top that powers the car batteries, two LCD rear view mirror screens on dashboard, and LED lights. Who is Marian?
bentley jekyll and hyde | concept runs green on sun, wind and electricity
[above] Design student Bora Kim’s concept car runs on solar energy, wind energy, as well as electricity. The body maximizes the absorption of energy. The body of car transforms according to the use of type of energy — if car is running on wind energy it changes its shape accordingly.
hxo | zero-emission vehicle powered by solar energy
[above] designed by Zhang Zhizhen and Wang Yanchao, car uses solar energy and supports 3G connectivity. The solar energy splits water into oxygen and hydrogen, hydrogen providing power. Shaped for extra space for luggage, designers claim a zero operating cost. Here’s a winner.
opel flow | solar-powered concept car
[above] Designed by Miika Heikkinen, this 2049 zero-emission concept features single seating and electric wheels. The car self-generates electricity via car movement. The body is made up of very lightweight material. Bystander thinking back to the drawing board on the wheels please.
YeZ | concept car to inhale CO2 and exhale oxygen into the atmosphere
[above] A joint venture of SAIC (School of the Art Institute of Chicago) and General Motors(GM). The car’s roof is a solar panel and can convert CO2 from the environment to oxygen. Notice small wind turbines in wheels for charging the batteries. Would like to see year-round Midwest model.
Apologies. Could not find links to several sources mentioned above. [ @ecomagination — we love green concepts however ]
