22 story hotel concept pays homage to a silkmoth.
Paterson New Jersey a city founded by Alexander Hamilton as America’s first industrial park is also known as the silk city. Silk of course is made from the cocoons of certain moths. So the architect– still anonymous–of a proposed new 22 story hotel chose the cocoon as inspiration.
The hotel plan was unveiled recently by Paterson Mayor Jeffery Jones who describes the $65 million hotel as a tribute to Paterson’s silk industry roots. He says it “doesn’t require any city investment whatsoever.” [ some details ]
