as part of the activities celebrating london’s vibrant design scene at london design festival 2016, design shanghai presents a special preview of next year’s edition with a unique showcase of products by a curated selection of ground-breaking chinese designers, exhibiting together for the first time in uk.
design shanghai preview in partnership with hi / shanghai creative twin cities will take place at leading show 100% design, running 21-24 september 2016 at olympia london, and will feature 14 emerging and established chinese design brands.
some of the most talented designers, including alitle, benwu edition, beyond object, ey-products, fnji, frank chou design studio, haostyle, nanchow, rooy, skeleton&skin, w+s group, wuu, yang house and ziinlife, will have the opportunity to present their newest products to the london design community before exhibiting their creations at the next edition of asia’s leading international design event design shanghai in 2017.
china’s steadily increasing presence in major design events worldwide is reflected in this year’s 100% design where, alongside design shanghai preview, the nanjing pavilion and shenzhen pavilion will also spotlight a wide range of chinese design products.
the official ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on wednesday 21 september at 12pm.
