In anticipation of upcoming [ ExpoChicago 2012 ], yesterday DesignApplause interviewed (coming soon) Rhona Hoffman an hour before the opening of a wonderful (huge too) installation in her [ gallery ] from artist Jacob Hashimoto (huge installation images coming). The installation took a year to plan, fabricate and install. Hashimoto also showed fabrication working drawings of other installations and several wall hangings.

After leaving the Hashimoto opening we went around the corner to talk to Carrie Secrist. We were told we missed her opening last week and we had to see the installation of Anne Lindberg in Carrie’s [ gallery ]. These photos do not do both installations justice: go see both installs in person. below > Lindberg’s installation from a distance and a closeup.
Rhona and Carrie are just two of 15 galleries among others participating in Chicago Gallery Weekend 2012
