there are no numbers, no chimes or clicks and no bright colors.
Perhaps the Norwegian designers at SHE Studio were feeling the stress of a time crunch and, like any good designers, decided to create a solution. The result isn’t another nifty planner or nicely bound to-do list, but a remake of the problem itself: time, or, rather, a clock. However,”Myk” isn’t like any clock we’ve ever seen. The face is wrapped up with a fabric stretched taught over the surface, making the minute and hour hands mere indentations behind the surface. There are no numbers, no chimes or clicks and no bright colors. Everything is minimized, and hopefully your stress level will be too.
There is one little hangup, though. The clock runs incredibly slow (which some might prefer) because of the hands struggle to tick against the tight fabric. The designers are still working on a motor powerful enough to move the hands forward at the proper pace, because we can’t imagine anything more stressful than thinking you have an extra six hours before a deadline only to find out you’re behind. But when they get it right, we think this just might find its way on our office wall.

about perrin drumm
Bringing together an unlikely pair, Gunter Wermekes was the first to combine stainless steel, an industrial material with the timeless beauty of diamonds into a complete jewelry collection. He believes that every material speaks its own language; that stainless steel speak of today, of building, and of making future plans, while a diamond, on the other hand, conveys a timeless quality, fire and passion. Yet in this collection of rings, rather than marry stainless steel with diamonds, he brings together another unlikely combination with wood. The Grenadill Rings feature square stainless steel bands ornamented with three-dimensional square and rectangular cuts of jet black Grenadilla, a hard, close grain wood.
Various configurations available.

Apple introduces world’s first wireless multi-touch “Magic Mouse”.
Apple delivers minimalist design with no buttons, scroll wheels or “nipples” on display. Instead, the entire top of the aluminum-based mouse is a seamless hard acrylic multi-touch surface that lets users navigate using the finger gestures made popular on other Apple devices, such as the iPod touch, iPhone and Macbook trackpads.
Touch-sensitive surface enables familiar mouse controls: left and right mouse buttons, full 360 degree scrolling. Bottomline, the whole surface is, in fact, a clickable button like the original clear Apple mouse.
However, does not pinch zoom – instead, a screen zoom is accomplished by holding the Control key on the keyboard down while scrolling with one finger. Swiping across the touch surface with two fingers lets users flip through web pages in Safari or photos in iPhoto. You can also add custom touch controls.
The new Magic Mouse will be included with every new iMac and is available separately for $69 USD.
