friedman benda, one of the world’s leading design galleries, announces dna10 its 10th anniversary exhibition. dna10 aims to look ahead by taking stock of the past ten years of projects and exhibitions. reflecting on a decades’ worth of innovation, this survey will shine a light onto the beautiful chaos that is contemporary design.
dna10 will include work from twenty-one designers and artists that span five continents and multiple generations such as wendell castle, ettorre sottsass, marcel wanders, christopher schanck, nendo, misha kahn, ron arad, humberto & fernando campana, forrest myers, andrea branzi, paul cocksedge, joris laarman, and front design.
the exhibition will feature one distinct piece from each studio practice and will look discretely at each designer’s process, highlighting their major contributions to contemporary design. additionally, documentation in the form of drawings, sketches, videos and models will accompany the work on view.
