Design miami/basel 2011. Carpenters workshop gallery.

Jun 16, 2011

Carpenters Workshop Gallery expands the boundaries of design by uniting and transcending the contested categories of conceptual functional sculpture through thought-provoking exhibitions. At Design Miami/ Basel, Carpenters Workshop will present a privately commissioned new chandelier by Ralph Nauta and Lonneke Gordijn from Drift. Other highlights will include Atelier Van Lieshout’s Thin Man, a bench/sculpture that serves as Van Lieshout’s exploration into the ways in which Anglo-Saxon and European society sit on the back of the Third World; and works by Vincent Dubourg which fuse furniture, architecture, and sculpture.
