Hakone Pavilion, located in Japan’s Hakone Open-Air Museum. The museum opened in 1969 and is Japan’s first open-air art museum. Using 500 logs, the pavilion was conceived for kids and features a climbing net created by artist Toshiko Horiuchi Macadam. Built to shield the space from rain and harsh sunlight the pavilion conveys the feeling of playing outside and surrounded by nature.
