After reviewing all the serious (and seriously good) products from the 2011 design shows that have happened so far, and there have been quite a few, Jongho Park’s design gave me the brain break I so dearly needed.
Thought “Mot,” a free-standing clothes rack, is obviously well built, I love the intentionally crooked, over-sized nails sticking out of the stand, as if the carpenter missed and bent each one out of shape. While I’ll take good design in any form, whether it makes me laugh or not, I think it’s a good sign that playful design concepts seem to be on the rise.
