Constantin Boym is at it again. His new designs take off from the tradition of mabkhara, the traditional Arab incense burner. Known for witty links between America and Russia, baroque and pop, Boym’s latest project involves international collaboration and reinvention. The new mabkhara are hand-made by the glass master Massimo Lunardon in the Veneto, Italy. On display in Qatar, the collection “promotes a new vision for the traditional objects of Arab culture.”
