art after hours welcomes expo chicago visitors to view citywide galleries during extended hours on
friday, september 15, 6:00 – 9:00 pm, allowing a first look at new exhibitions while experiencing the vibrant local art scene.

making is thinking
the making process for the artists in this show is integral to each of the mediums they work in: clay, stone, paint, wire, ink.
the logic of the making repeats itself, transforming the materials into an understandable immediate presence.
the methods seem simple and the materials modest but are indeed complex when repeated and grouped together as a whole.
