Milan, design capital of the world, will soon have a new ecological hotel called Green Business Hotel.
The brainchild of architect Giuseppe Tortato and Milano Layout, will turn an old mill into an innovative four-star hotel in the heart of Milan. The “carbon free” hotel will use only renewable energy technologies.
Sprawling over 13,000 square meters, the place will comprise 120 rooms, restaurant, lounge bar, gym, spa, conference rooms, hanging gardens, courtyard, garden and a roofed parking lot 3000 square meters in size. Chief attractions of this hotel will be its lovely green area and state of the art technology. The hotel will in fact feature a complex computer network, combining hospitality, technology and love and respect for nature.

Automobile developer of low-volume concepts, EDAG hasn’t left any stone unturned with their newest concept the “Light Car – Open Source.”
Made from 100% recyclable basalt fiber chassis, the electric car can drive close to 100 miles on a full recharge.
A feature that makes the car stand out is the use of high-end OLED technology all through the design. The rear of the car uses OLEDs to show trailing vehicles the amount of braking force needed to prevent a bang. The headlights and turn signals are all OLED panels that are invisible when off. The entire “glass cockpit” display system not only makes your ride technically advanced, but also allows the driver to position the speedometer anywhere he or she likes.
When will we see this car? Not for another decade as we wait for technology to catch up. Moreover, a range of 100 miles and a low top speed are also a few drawbacks that EDAG needs to look after.

Jongoh Lee, a South Korean designer has conceived of the invisible streetlight.
The design depicts the processes of photosynthesis conducted by plants using solar energy. By saving energy from sunlight during the day like actual trees, it emits light at night. The lights’ flexible body can be directly wrapped around a tree branch with no support required, blending into the surrounding environment.

ReCycle targets the wasted energy that is generated while riding a bicycle and empowers consumers to not only consume, but produce.
This concept effectively takes you of “the grid” to power and recharge your electronics gadgets.
How Recycle works:
It captures kinetic energy from the subtle rocking back and forth while pedaling, bumpy terrain the user may travel over and any other movements that take place during a bike ride. ReCycle contains three micro generators and a lithium ion battery. These micro generators create an electric charge during any movement of the bicycle. When this electric charge is generated, it is stored in a lithium ion battery. This battery is attached to the charging unit while the user is riding their bike. After the ride, the battery can be easily removed and used to power any number of electronics. At one end of the battery there is a basic wall outlet.
Imagine having a cell phone that has never been plugged into the wall!
This technology is currently being developed to create self charged batteries for cell phones and other electronic devices at m2e power
