#pldsgn: up-and-coming designers from poland at wanteddesign 2019.
the #pldsgn exhibition is combined with a pop-up shop stocked with contemporary products designed and made locally in poland. visitors can survey the array of polish design goods available and make purchases, perusing a selection of ceramics, textiles, books, home accessories and items for children. the presentation features a choice of original objects made by emerging designers from poland working across a range of techniques, from detailed handiwork to pieces produced using 3-d printing. the pop-up shop will live in the wanteddesign store at industry city (274 36th street, brooklyn / subway: d, n, & r – 36th st. station ) for three weeks following wanteddesign manhattan.
#pldsgn is also launching the guide to polish design, a great, virtual journey through time, through various political landscapes, social conventions, changing tastes, habits, styles and needs. in short, a walk through of 100 years of the best of polish design.
the project is organized by the adam mickiewicz institute and is part of its program promoting polish design worldwide.
