new york city based gallery and showroom matter is hosting a curated installation showing the latest collections from matter made and established & sons side by side. their collaboration is a natural expression of their shared values and attitude towards design, to create a bridge between their languages gathered through an installation on the occasion of new york design week. the exhibition will be on view until 2 june 2018.
for its new collection, established & sons has collaborated with leading international designers, including ronan & erwan bouroullec, konstantin grcic, dimitri bähler, mauro pasquinelli and established & sons’ design director, sebastian wrong.
zero waste bistro
join us for four days of food and design at #wanteddesign manhattan on 19-22 may. the finnish cultural institute in new york has invited chefs from the helsinki-based restaurant nolla to bring their zero waste food philosophy to new york. co-curated by designers harri koskinen and linda bergroth, the pop-up bistro builds on themes of circular economy, new material innovations and sustainable design.
here you can book your tickets for our daily brunch and lunch sessions, featuring a mouth-watering zero waste tasting menu, and a thought-provoking design experience. on monday and tuesday we’ll also be serving breakfast, which is a quicker way of experiencing the zero waste bistro. here’s a list of all tasting sessions. make sure to book ahead as seating is very limited.

it is every architect’s dream to build with light. the stickbulb collection takes this aspiration literally. sleek wooden beams come in one to six foot lengths and are designed to plug into and out of various steel hardware connectors without tools. the result is a light-up erector set of interchangeable components that allows for unlimited customization and creativity.
stickbulb was co-founded in 2012 by creative director russell greenberg, and partner christopher beardsley.

ceramics of italy will host a multi-brand pavilion in booths 2219 + 2319, organized by confindustria ceramica (the italian association of ceramics) and the italian trade agency. throughout the space, tile industry professionals will be readily available to answer questions and comment on design trends, installation techniques, technological advancements, and sustainability. the pavilion will provide a diverse sampling of the italian ceramics newly available on the north american market. there will be products made in collaboration with well-known designers, architectural mosaics, naturalistic motifs such as wood and marble, and textile-inspired lines to name a few, suitable for a variety of applications such as residential, commercial, indoor and outdoor.
