Nike unveils their lightest, fastest, and greenest shoe yet, the Nike GS. A size 9 soccer shoe weighs just 5.6 ounces (160 grams) in part because the sole is made of Pebax Renu, a material made of castor beans (97%) which reduced the bottom plate weight by 15%. The boots are engineered in Italy, where their laces, lining and tongue are made from a minimum of 70% recycled materials including bottles. They’ll be available through [ nike ] and selected online retailers from August 15th, priced at $300.
