this is one techie kettle.

embedded in the handle, the touch display has a clock, a self-timer, temp control between 113 and 212°F. other features include easy opening push-down top lid, maximum capacity of 1.75 liters, and protective overheating system. a 360°connection to the base permits easy use from any position. vera is available in a range of 9 colors like chrome, white, black, cream, lilac, apple, red, yellow and orange. $300 USD.

Less about breaking news and more about affirmation: The Zeppelin iPod dock from Bowers and Wilkins not only looks good from across the room and CU, but the music is consistent with the manufacturer’s reputable sound.

First seen almost a year ago but did not mess with it until killing time in an Apple store last week. If you like modern, minimal, music, and have an iPod, this is worth a peek. It will set you back $600 USA but you get design, music, and art.

Speaking of music, do you know what HD radio is? A confusing marketing ploy, it does not stand for “high definition” music or hybrid-digital — HD radio combines analog and digital signals to provide a higher quality broadcast. In Chicago alone there are 23 additional HD FM stations you could tune to. Some people pay $13/mo for satellite radio, yet HD is free if you buy a HD radio.

There is a lot of info on the internet. I wish I knew about HD several weeks ago. We recently bought a new car and did not take the HD radio option.
