Designed by Finnish designer for Jalo Helsinki, Kupu is a beautiful, stylish and easy to use photoelectric smoke alarm. It is very easy to install due to its 3M tape and does not require screws or power drills. The external casing serves a a test button, rather than traditional smoke alarms that feature obnoxiously small push buttons. Lastly, Kupu is lightweight and has a 5 year battery. It was awarded the Red Dot Design Award 2011.
