of the Amsterdam- based practice , has been selected to design a 5,000 sq ft pavilion in NYC to mark the occasion of the 400th anniversary of ’s arrival in Harbor.


To be permanently installed by September at in , “The Plein and Pavilion”, will be unique among the city’s many – a landscaped intermodal of the 21st century, where , , the subway and transportation intersect with cultural offerings in a of daring but lyrical design. The pavilion will have openings on three of four sides and will house an , café and restrooms. The installation is expected to spruce up the Plaza, a highly trafficked area that receives 5 million people annually, including 70,000 daily .
